Hill Air Force Base Air Show 2012

Hundreds of thousands of visitors came to Hill Air Force Base over the weekend for Warriors Over the Wasatch, a free air show and open house.

It's the first time since 2009 that the northern Utah base has hosted the show, which attracted more than 400,000 that year.

The May 26-27 show will feature the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the premier air demonstration team, as well as a host of other aerial and ground performers. Those include Tim Weber, Dan Buchanan, the Red Eagles, the Red Bull Team, Erickson Air, and Smoke and Thunder.

Among the events will be a "heritage" flight to show the evolution of air power. Capt. Garrett "Mace" Dover, of the 388th Fighter Wing at HAFB, will pilot an F-16 Fighting Falcon alongside civilian pilot Greg Anders in a P-51 Mustang.
